Flipping catalogues and surfing the Internet in search of the latest designs can occasionally become tiresome, so Portobello West is bringing back the tactile sensation to the browsing experience. The successful event is coming to Calgary April 11 to 13 and will feature some 70 Canadian vendors, many of them local. This event is perfect for those whose interests range from clothes to home design and who have a taste for uniqueness as all the items are original and one-of-a-kind. Says Kari Woo, an artist and member of the featured New Craft Collective, “I think it’s exciting. This show is a long time coming for this region,” says Woo. —Colleen Tang
