Though regulations (on whether wine can be made at home or at a commercial facility) vary by province, you can make 30 bottles of wine from a kit for about $100 and up. Take a step up at Il Vino in West Van (ilvino.ca), where you can select grapes from all over the globe, or at North Vancouver’s California Cult Classics (californiacultclassics.com), which offers grapes grown in Napa’s legendary Beckstoffer vineyards.
