Rules and Criteria
Nominations are received from designers and their nominators by the end of March, according to criteria detailed on nomination forms available at westernliving.ca. Nominees are short-listed by the editors. A condensed portfolio of the short-listed nominees’ work is sent to each judge, who works independently to comment on and score each entry in four categories (innovation, execution, Western aesthetic and evidence of a breakthrough year). Winners are chosen by overall point total and judges’ rankings.
