A stylish design crowd mingled over hors d'oeuvres and wine at the Art Gallery of Calgary.
On September 29, Western Living hosted Alberta's brightest design talents for a celebration of Western Canada's best designers at the Art Gallery of Calgary. Wine flowed and dishes by Hotel Arts were delicious, but the biggest draw of the night was a display featuring work of the 2011 Designers of the Year finalists and winners. Model homes, innovative furniture, jewellery collections and more showed off an impressive pool of homegrown talent. The evening was capped off with an awards presentation by WL editor-in-Chief Anicka Quin to those named as Designers of the Year and Ones to Watch.
